Michigan Affected by Salmonella-Tainted Eggs

Salmonella-infected eggs associated with a nationwide recall in the US have been distributed in the state of Michigan, according to the Michigan Department of Agriculture.

The federal government said the salmonella outbreak has sickened about 1,300 Americans.

The outbreak has been traced to Hillandale Farms and Wright County Egg in Iowa, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

Wright County Egg has recalled 380 million eggs while Hillandale Farms recalled about 170 million eggs, according to CNN.
