FDA Identifies Farm as Salmonella Outbreak Source

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the state of Minnesota have identified Hillandale Farms in Iowa as a second potential source of salmonella-tainted eggs.

The FDA has announced a recall of eggs distributed under the brands Hillandale Farms, Sunny Farms and Sunny Meadow in six-egg cartons, dozen-egg cartons, 18-egg cartons, 30-egg package and five-dozen cases.

The FDA said investigations are ongoing at Hillandale Farms and Wright County Egg in Iowa.

The egg recall has affected more than 500 million eggs across the US.
