Mettler Designs Metal Detector for Bulk Products

Mettler Toledo Safeline has unveiled a metal detector that scans contaminants in bulk products during food processing.

The company said its RB Series profile has an aperture of 650x400mm and can detect contaminants smaller than 1.8mm in diameter.

The system can be configured to inspect bulk bags and sacks of granular and powdered products from 25kg to 50kg.

Mettler said it can also handle dry, wet, loose or packed bulk products such as meat, poultry, cheese and diary, according to packagingnews.co.uk.
