SPX to Acquire Anhydro Group

SPX Corporation has signed an agreement to acquire Anhydro Group, a supplier of liquid concentration equipment and powder processing solutions.

The deal includes all of Anhydro’s business units except its Danish Filter business and its German, UK, and US operations.

The acquired units are expected to generate approximately €85m ($105m).

The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of the third quarter.

US-based SPX said the purchase is the second acquisition for its flow technology this year followed by the acquisition of Denmark-based Gerstenberg Schroder in January.

Anhydro supplies evaporation and drying systems for dairy, brewing, chemical, energy, environmental, ethanol, food, pharmaceutical and starch industries.
