Wimm-Bill-Dann Foods Q1 Profit Hits $33m

Russia’s Wimm-Bill-Dann Foods has reported a Q1 2010 profit of $33m compared to $12m in 2009.

The company posted a sharp rise in profits backed by a rise in sales, volume and the strength of the rouble.

Quarterly sales revenue is up 19% to $615m compared to $516.8m a year ago.

Among the individual segments, baby food posted a revenue of $72.4m, which is up 35%, diary reported sales volume of $434.5m, up 17%, while beverages generated a revenue of $108m, up 15%.
