Diamond Foods’ Q3 Revenue Up

Diamond Foods has reported a 25% increase in third quarter revenue to $138.7m, up from $111m during the same time a year ago.

The food producer’s adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation rose 41% to $13.5m.

However, Diamond Foods posted a loss of $4.3m in the quarter ended 30 April compared to a profit of $2.7m a year ago.

Excluding a series of one-time items related to costs associated with its recent acquisition of Kettle Foods, the company’s profit amounted to 30 cents a share.

The company said retail sales, which included one month of Kettle sales, rose 39% and snack sales increased 62%.
