US Firm Recalls Pork Sausage Products for Listeria

Custom Corned Beef is recalling about 460lb of crumbled pork sausage products because of a possible contamination of listeria monocytogenes.

The US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) said the sausage products were produced on 9 April and were distributed to institutional establishments in Colorado.

The firm, based in Denver, Colorado, is recalling the products including 10lb boxes with two 5lb packages of Polidori fully cooked pork sausage crumbles.

The contamination was discovered by a receiving federal establishment which had recently been tested by the FSIS for listeria monocytogenes.
