Nestle Reports Annual Growth

Nestle has reported annual group sales of CHF26.3bn ($24.6bn) compared to CHF25.2bn a year ago.

The food giant’s sales volume also improved 4.8% while its food and beverage sales rose 6.1%, the company said.

Nestle, which reported only revenue for the first and third quarters, said its comparable sales growth in Asia, Oceania and Africa improved 10.3%.

The company’s sales in its other food and beverages division for the quarter rose 11.4%, with volume growth of 9.3%.

The food giant attributed the growth to its Nespresso premium coffee line and infant formula.

Its worst performers were prepared foods, where sales edged up 2.3%, and water, which rose 2.5%.
