Sensient Plans to Invest in Natural Colours Plant

US-based Sensient Technologies Corporation plans to invest $16m in a plant at its Color Group headquarters site in St Louis, Missouri, to increase its natural colour capabilities.

An additional 25,000ft2 facility, manufacturing natural colours, will be the largest and most advanced natural colours plant in North America, the company said.

The manufacturing plant will further promote the conversion to natural colours by large food and beverage manufacturers.

Previous investments, which include an increase in emulsion capability in Hamburg, Germany, a brand new facility in Guangzhou, China, and expanded capacity in anthocyanins in Reggio Emilia, Italy, will total more than $50m in natural colour investments.
