US Frozen Food Packaging Industry to Grow

US demand for frozen food packaging is projected to reach $6.8bn in 2013, a new study reports.

Increasing demand for convenience-type foods and ethnic cuisine would help drive growth, reportlinker said.

Meat, poultry and seafood, and frozen specialties, which accounted for over 60% demand in 2008, will also represent the fastest growing markets through 2013.

The report Frozen Food Packaging said growth for meat, poultry and seafood applications will be supported by increasing production volume, demand for convenience-type products and requirements in the food service sector.

Boxes will lead the frozen food packaging market while pouches will represent the fastest growing product type.
