EU Ingredient Companies to Merge

Biotech company Natraceutical Group and natural ingredient company Naturex have announced they will merge.

The Spanish multinational will be incorporated into the business arm of French firm Naturex.

The merger will provide the company with production sites in France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, the UK, US, Morocco, Australia and Brazil following the merger and will operate under Naturex management, headed by Jacques Dikansky, chairman and CEO of the company.

According to the companies, the deal will allow Natraceutical Group to focus its efforts in the development of its nutritional supplements division in Europe, which the company markets exclusively in pharmacies under the brand name Forté Pharma.
