United Sports Brands acquires energy supplement maker Glukos Energy

United Sports Brands, a US-based manufacturer of sports performance and protective products, has announced the acquisition of energy supplement maker Glukos Energy.

Neither company disclosed financial details of the deal.

Glukos is an energy supplement brand, offering natural energy for athletes to perform at their optimal levels.

The company’s products are currently used by athletes as daily hydration and energy supplements.

United Sports Brands president and CEO Michael Magerman said: “We’re very excited to add Glukos Energy to the USB portfolio of brands.

“Glucose is your body’s preferred form of energy and it provides 2 times the energy, twice as fast. We believe that Glukos’s commitment to delivering clean, fast and delicious energy aligns with USB’s commitment to helping athletes perform their best.”

Going forward, United Sports Brands intends to leverage its expertise, partnerships and experience for creating new markets for Glukos brand.

It is also planning to support the supplement manufacturer’s focus on product innovation.

Glukos Energy joins United Sports Brands’s portfolio that includes companies such as Shock Doctor, McDavid, Cutters and Nathan Sports.
