Tomi and Arkema to develop food safety fogging technology market

US-based Tomi Environmental Solutions has entered a global co-marketing and supply agreement with Arkema to develop the market for Tomi’s Fogging Technology, SteraMist, for food safety applications.

Tomi uses its Binary Ionization Technology (BIT) platform to develop disinfection and decontamination essentials through the manufacturing, licensing, servicing and selling of its SteraMist brand, a hydrogen peroxide-based mist and fog.

Arkema will manufacture and supply the food grade hydrogen peroxide for use in a solution registered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Both companies will jointly address the industry’s need for a non-bleach food safety process and deliver it to global food clients who currently use Arkema’s hydrogen peroxide for organic-certified products.
