The week in M&A: US Foods, Monogram Food Solutions, LLC, TTK Prestige

US Foods has acquired data and restaurant menu analysis services provider Food Genius.

The team of Food Genius will become a part of food service distributor US Foods as part of the takeover.

Monogram Food Solutions has taken over Progressive Gourmet in a move to expand its revenue and processing capacity.

Progressive Gourmet will be merged with Monogram’s Wisconsin-based frozen appetiser businesses as part of the deal.

Progressive Gourmet’s products include small bites, baked goods, hors d’oeuvres, gourmet appetisers, snacks and entrees, which are marketed under the Goodwives, Original Rangoon Co. and The Caterer’s Choice brands.

TTK Prestige, an Indian designer, manufacturer and distributor of kitchen appliances, has purchased Silampos UK and its subsidiary Horwood Homewares. The acquisition was made through its wholly-owned subsidiary TTK British Holdings.

Silampos UK and Horwood Homewares specialises in the design, manufacturing and distribution of kitchen appliances.

KPMG Corporate Finance and Inga Capital were the financial advisers to TTK Prestige, whereas Horwood was advised by Smith & Williamson Corporate Finance on the deal.

HNA Group has entered into an agreement to fully acquire Swiss flight catering and provisioning services provider gategroup.

gategroup will be delisted from the SIX Swiss Exchange following the Sfr1.4bn ($1.46bn) deal and operate as an independent subsidiary of the Chinese airline services provider following the transaction, while retaining its Swiss headquarters.

Cranswick has acquired CCL Holdings and its wholly owned subsidiary Crown Chicken, in a £40m ($56.48m) transaction that was funded from existing bank facilities. Both the companies involved in the transaction are based in the UK.

CCL Holdings is a meat products and animal feeds producer and owned by the Thacker family and management. Cranswick produces and supplies food products to grocery retailers, and food producers and service providers.
