QCD acquires assets of Mile Hi Specialty Foods

US-based custom distribution services provider Quality Custom Distribution (QCD) has acquired assets of Mile Hi Specialty Foods to form QCD Rocky Mountain.

QCD is a subsidiary of Golden State Foods (GSF), a diversified supplier to the quick-service restaurant industry.

Mile Hi Specialty Foods provides distribution, warehousing, storage services to restaurants in 17 US states.

Golden State Foods chairman and chief executive officer Mark Wetterau said: "We value Kristy Taddonio Mullins, president of Mile Hi Specialty Foods, and all the Mile Hi associates for their outstanding accomplishments and efforts over the years."

Kristy will serve as a partner and board member of QCD Rocky Mountain, along with former Mile Hi Specialty Foods vice-president Cody Mullins, who will lead the operations and serve as managing director of QCD Rocky Mountain.

QCD Rocky Mountain will have its distribution centres in Denver, Colorado; Kansas City, Missouri; and satellite locations in Salt Lake City, Utah; Casper, Wyoming; and Albuquerque, New Mexico.
