Pure Ingredients to collaborate with universities in Germany and Netherlands

Frozen food producer Pure Ingredients will be collaborating with universities in the Netherlands to educate students about the latest trends in the food industry.

The collaboration’s main focus is on generating awareness among students about the daily functions of the company.

As part of this, Pure Ingredients will give lectures and presentations at high schools and universities, through which it will send invitations to students to visit its facilities. This visit would involve students getting acquainted with the production process of different kinds of specialties and being able to look behind the scenes.

Students will also get the opportunity to taste the specialties and offer opinions.

Pure Ingredients CEO Frank Verhage said: "The food sector is obviously ubiquitous, dynamic and sensible to all kinds of trends. After all, students from different schools and backgrounds are the future of the market. Naturally, this also applies to the specialties of our brand Lekker&Anders (Exquisité).

"Through our cooperation with different universities and their students we are also able to test new concepts in subtle ways. For example, we are thinking about the growing need for healthy food and the fact that more and more consumers want to spend less time in their kitchen."

Currently, the company is working with the Fontys International Business School (Venlo), the HAN (Nijmegen en Arnhem) and the HAS (Den Bosch).
