OK Foods purchases Alabama-based Albertville Quality Foods

US-based Albertville Quality Foods has been bought by OK Foods, a subsidiary of Mexican firm Industrias Bachoco.

A portfolio company of private equity investment firm H.I.G. Capital, Albertville is a processor of protein-based products such as breaded chicken tenders and boneless wings. It serves national and regional restaurant chains, as well as other foodservice channels.

Founded in 1988, Albertville Quality Foods is based in Albertville, Alabama, where it has two facilities.

H.I.G. purchased Albertville in 2010, following which it completed the acquisition of Sunrise Foods in two years.

Following H.I.G.’s partnership in Albertville’s leadership team, the latter is claimed to have made significant improvements in both operations and sales.

Albertville also established an advanced sourcing model and undertook facility improvement projects to enhance operational performance and capacity.

Albertville also established partnerships with several leading restaurants and retailers.

H.I.G.
