M&As this week: LAG Holding, NH Foods, Mail.Ru Group

Parmalat subsidiary LAG Holding has announced the $130m acquisition of two US-based dairy companies, including a production facility in Turlock, California.

Based in Italy, Parmalat is engaged in the production and distribution of dairy products and fruit beverages.

Japan-based meat processing company NH Foods has reached an agreement with Gibraltar-based Hoxton Holdings to acquire a 100% stake in the latter’s meat processing company Breeders & Packers Uruguay for $135m.

Mail.Ru Group has entered an agreement with ZakaZaka to acquire the remaining 90.09% stake in the company for $18m in an all-cash transaction.

Both based in Russia, Mail.Ru is an internet company, while ZakaZaka is a food delivery firm.
