M&As this week: Altinyag Kombinalari, Settsu Oil

A merger agreement has been signed by Turkish vegetable and sunflower oils maker Altinyag Kombinalari with investment company Arti Yatirim Holding.

Also based in Turkey, Arti Yatirim Holding has an investment portfolio in energy, real estate and finance sectors.

Settsu Oil Mill has agreed to merge with The Nisshin Oillio Group through a share exchange transaction involving one share of the former to be exchanged for 0.785 share of the latter.

The former manufactures vegetable oils and chemical products, whereas the latter produces and distributes edible oils, chemicals and healthy foods.

Both companies involved in the merger are based in Japan.
