M&As this week: AdvancePierre Foods Holdings, Dole Food Company

AdvancePierre Foods Holdings (APFH), a food supplier based in the US, has acquired Allied Specialty Foods from Steven Zoll for a consideration of $60m in an all cash transaction that is subject to certain post-closing adjustments.

Based in New Jersey, Allied Specialty Foods is a producer of raw and cooked beef, and chicken Philly steak products, while APFH is a producer of ready-to-cook and fully-cooked beef, pork, veal, chicken and turkey products.

Dole Food Company has acquired TucFrut farms and its packaging facilities located in Chile’s Molina and Linares areas to boost its offerings of fresh fruits products.

Dole Food Company, which is an American producer and supplier of fresh fruits and vegetables, intends to enhance its portfolio through the acquisition by the addition of premium apple varieties and kiwifruit, as well as Chilean blueberries.

Dole Food Company will also acquire an undeveloped farmland as part of the acquisition.
