GRILLiT acquires 10% stake in organic beef distributor Natura Foods

GRILLiT, a Latin-Caribbean fusion restaurant based in Miami, has bought a 10% equity stake in Natura Foods, a distributor of natural and organic grass-fed beef.

Natura Foods‘ Gaucho Ranch brand provides 100% natural and organic grass-fed beef that is free of antibiotics and hormones.

Gaucho Ranch cattle are fed on vegetable proteins, without products or by-products of animal origin, due to a prohibition on the use of growth hormones under Uruguayan law.

GRILLiT CEO Ghazi Hajj said, “Gaucho Ranch and GRILLiT share the same high standards of quality and health. We are excited for this partnership moving forward.”

GRILLiT has also signed an exclusive supply agreement with Natura Foods, whereby the former will be supplied with Gaucho Ranch organic beef products for its corporate restaurant operations.

Under the agreement, GRILLiT will purchase its beef exclusively from Natura Foods, and Natura Foods will supply the Gaucho Ranch brand beef only to GRILLiT restaurants in the fast casual dining restaurant sector.

The Miami-based company is set to include the Gaucho Ranch brand beef into its menu items over the next 30 days.
