Deals this week: Livingbridge, Wolt Enterprises, Oresa Ventures, Tongwei

Dorset Village Bakery, a family-managed business with 133 employees, has attracted an investment by American private equity firm Livingbridge EP LLP.

Also known as Thomas J Fudge’s, the bakery will be able to strengthen its market position in the UK through the new investment.

Wolt Enterprises has announced that it has raised $11m from investors, including EQT Ventures, in a Series A funding round.
Co-investors in the funding round included Skype founder Niklas Zennstrom, Supercell CEO Ilkka Paananen, and Nokia chairman Risto Siilasmaa.

The Finnish online provider of food ordering and delivery service plans will use the proceeds to expand its operations in other Nordic cities.

Oresa Ventures and founder of La Fantana Cristian Amza have acquired all the shares of water and coffee distributor La Fantana, held by Polish private equity firm Innova Capital.

The legal advisers for Oresa Ventures in the transaction were D&B David and Baias, while Cristian Amza was assisted by Popovici Nitu Stoica & Asociatii.

Tongwei has raised CNY3bn ($462.7m) through a private placement on 15 April. The deal comprised issue of approximately 274.72 million shares priced at CNY10.92 ($1.68) a share.

The Chinese feed stuff producer’s business portfolio also includes food processing, and seafood, poultry and livestock cultivation.
