Deals this week: American Securities, Farmhill, Lamb Weston / Meijer

The management team of dairy products manufacturer Milk Specialities has teamed up with American Securities to acquire the former from Kainos Capital.

According to the terms of the agreement, Milk Specialties will retain its 700 employees and continue to be based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, US.

Farm Hill, a healthy food delivery service, has raised $3m in funding to expand its business and introduce innovative technologies to further enhance its operational efficiency.

The investment was secured through venture funding with participants, including Eagle Cliff Partners, Liberty City Ventures, Soma Capital, StartX and Zalmi Duchman.

A joint venture (JV) has been formed by Lamb Weston / Meijer, international frozen potato processing company, and Belaya Dacha OJSC, a Russian holding company, to explore the Russian French fry market.

According to the agreement, the JV partners will establish a new french fry factory in Lipetsk, Russia, with an investment of approximately €100m ($110.83m).

Coffee Kinetics, which operates as Sonofresco, has entered an agreement for purchase and sale of assets with Coffee Holding in a transaction that is expected to be completed by the end of the month.

The deal will see Coffee Holding acquire substantially all the assets of Sonofresco, while the head of Sonofresco will serve as an adviser.

Coffee Holding is primarily engaged in manufacturing, roasting, packaging, marketing and distributing roasted and blended coffees.

CUROHOLDINGS has issued 372,960 common stock shares in private placement to raise KRW800m ($0.67m). The shares were offered at a price of KRW2,145 ($1.69) each.

CUROHOLDINGS is a South Korean company operating in three distinct segments, namely coffee distribution, semi-conductor testing equipment, and resource development.
