Bonds of London launches 80 US confectionery lines in UK

Bonds of London has launched a new range of US products in the UK confectionery market.

With the addition of 80 new lines to the existing American product range, it has become one of the leading suppliers of US confectionery products in the UK.

Among the new products launched include Hostess Twinkies and Snoballs, Cookie Dough Bites and WarHeads sour confectionery, in addition to leading snack brands.

The company introduced the products to address growing consumer demand for US confectionery items.

UK citizens consume on average of around 10kg of chocolate every year, which amounts to approximately 250 standard-sized chocolate bars.

Innovative Bites founder Vishal Madhu was quoted by Foodbev.com as saying: “Bonds of London has historically been known for its traditional British sweets, such as pick ‘n’ mix jars and hanging bags.

“Of course these products remain hugely popular with UK consumers, but the trend for American confectionery and snacks continues to grow exponentially, so we felt it was time to up weight this offering for Bonds of London’s 7,000 plus customers across the UK.”

Innovative Bites purchased Bonds of London in April for undisclosed amount.
