M&A’s this week: Stonewall Kitchen, Samyang Corporation, Campbell Soup Company

Specialty food products producer and seller Stonewall Kitchen LLC has agreed to acquire pickled vegetable producer Metzger Specialty Brands Inc (Tillen Farms).

Both the acquirer and target companies are based in the US.

Samyang Corporation has agreed to acquire five million shares representing 44.2% stake in KCI Limited for $6.52m.

Based in South Korea, Samyang Corporation is a chemicals and foodstuff producer and seller, while KCI Limited is a surfactant company also based in South Korea.

Food and beverage products producer and seller Campbell Soup Company has entered an agreement to acquire snack foods manufacturer Snyder’s-Lance Inc for $6bn.

The target company will become part of Campbell Global Biscuits and Snacks division, following the acquisition.

Both the companies involved in the acquisition are based in the US.

Belgian ingredients and raw materials producer Puratos Group NV has acquired UK-based juices, smoothies, and fruit sauces manufacturer Fruitapeel Ltd.

Puratos will gain access to Fruitapeel’s 50,000ft² manufacturing facility.

GreenSpace Brands Inc has agreed to acquire 100% interest in US-based cheese and cheese alternatives manufacturer Galaxy Nutritional Foods from Mill Road Capital for $17.8m.

GreenSpace is a Canadian natural food product developer and marketer, while Mill Road Capital is a US-based investment firm.
