Dawn Foods acquires Polish fruit-based products maker JABEX

Dawn Foods has bolstered its footprint in fruit-based bakery products in Eastern Europe by acquiring JABEX in Poland.

Headquartered in Bielsko-Biala, JABEX is a family-owned company that is engaged in the manufacture of fruit-based products for the bakery industry.

It operates two manufacturing units with one unit located close to the orchards in Poland’s fruit region.

Currently, the firm has established partnerships with more than 300 companies in 30 countries.

JABEX owner Jan Gańczarczyk said: “Partnering with Dawn Foods and getting access to their global sweet bakery expertise and insights will enable us to continue to develop on-trend and high-quality fruit-based products for our customers and to accomplish our growth ambitions together.”

The deal will allow Dawn Foods to further enhance its global manufacturing footprint and bolster its operations and supply chain in central and eastern Europe.

In addition to expanding its geographical footprint, the products offered by JABEX also complements the products offered by Dawn Foods.

The deal will also help Dawn Foods to increase its offerings portfolio of fruit-based products.

Dawn Foods said that it will retain all JABEX team members following the closure of the acquisition.
