Food industry deals total $1.5bn globally in October 2021

Total food industry deals worth $1.5bn were announced globally for October 2021, with the $687.02m acquisition of Ausnutria Dairy being the sector’s biggest investment, according to GlobalData’s deals database.

The value marked a decrease of 4% over the previous month of $1.51bn and a drop of 56.7% when compared with the last 12-month average of $3.35bn.

In terms of number of deals, the sector saw a flat growth with 86 deals in October 2021 when compared to the last 12-month average of 86 deals.

In value terms, Asia-Pacific led the activity with deals worth $877.09m in October 2021.
