Hydro-Thermal Corporation was recently named 2014 Innovation Quotient (IQ) award recipient by BizTimes Media.
The IQ award is given to companies in south-eastern Wisconsin who develop innovative and unique products or services. Hydro-Thermal received the award for its Smart Cooking System™ which is a continuous cooking equipment aimed at replacing batch style cooking, which is an industry standard. It enables food companies to control parts of the production process that have never before been possible by allowing them to create new recipes, more easily manage consistency, and reduce cooking times. This is accomplished by Hydro-Thermal’s patented steam cooking design, which can hold food exactly at the set point with only one degree variation.
The IQ awards will be presented on Wednesday 21 May 2014 in correlation with BizExpo at Potawatomi Bingo Casino Expo Center.
This year also marks Hydro-Thermal’s 80th anniversary. The company has scheduled multiple events to celebrate this milestone, including volunteer projects at the Ronald McDonald House of Milwaukee, a blood drive with the Blood Center of Wisconsin, and participation in the Vince Lombardi’s Walk/Run in June.
Hydro-Thermal’s President Jim Zaiser was excited to be recognized given the significance of this year, "This is an exciting year for Hydro-Thermal. We are honored to receive the IQ Award during our 80th anniversary celebration. We have achieved a lot in the past 80 years and are looking forward to celebrating another 80 years of steam innovation."
