Hydro-Thermal Corporation has received a President’s ‘E’ Award for Exports at a ceremony in Washington, DC, honoring its contribution to US exports.
President Kennedy revived the World War II ‘E’ symbol of excellence in 1961, in order to honour and provide recognition to US exporters. Considered the highest recognition a US company can receive for making a significant contribution to the expansion of US exports, a total of 66 companies were presented with the President’s ‘E’ Award this year by US Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker.
Upon receiving the award, Hydro-Thermal President Jim Zaiser said: "We are honored to receive this award during our 80th anniversary celebration. Exportation has opened many doors for our company and is a large contributor to our growth. We have achieved a lot in the past 80 years and are looking forward to celebrating another 80 years of steam innovation."
Pritzker said: "The President’s ‘E’ Award winners are fantastic American businesses and organizations that have played a crucial role in strengthening and growing our economy through increased US exports."

US exports of goods and services hit an all-time record of $2.3 trillion in 2013. Nationally, jobs supported by exports reached more than 11 million last year, up 1.6 million since 2009.
