Jointly organised by UBM EMEA and Shanghai UBM Sinoexpo International Exhibition, Fi Asia-China has been serving the Chinese food and beverage (F&B) industry for the last 20 years.
This year, Fi Asia-China was co-located for the first time with ProPak China, Expo Food Manufacturing and Starch Expo. It offered a one-stop purchasing platform for food and beverage industry.
The combined shows welcomed more than 1,000 exhibitors from nearly 20 countries and regions, including Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, the US, the UK, Japan, Turkey, Malaysia, India, Mexico, Thailand, Italy, and Greece. It also attracted 25,144 professional buyers, producers, and distributors from across the F&B industry and other relevant sectors.
According to the survey results, more than 80% of visitors were satisfied with the exhibition and exhibits, and more than 90% of visitors expressed their willingness to recommend FiAC to colleagues or friends.
Many high-quality forums were held during the exhibition, including The 10th Food Safety and Food Additives Seminar, which was jointly hosted by Shanghai Food Additive & Batching Association and Shanghai UBM Sinoexpo International Exhibition. This seminar covered hot topics such as the latest developments of food ingredient industry under the Belt and Road Initiative and regulation on the implementation of food safety law. The site was crowded and professional interpretations of guests were highly praised by the participating visitors.
The 2018 Dairy Product/Beverage Industry Development seminar gave us answers about the innovation road for dairy products and beverages, while the Science and Technology of Food Industry forum brought application schemes for hot raw materials and ingredients in the food and beverage industry.
The Overseas Marketing Innovation and Operational Risk Control gave suggestions for reducing risks and increasing sales to visitors, while the Raw Food Material and Contact Material Regulations Seminar analysed the application issue of industry regulations. Finally, the Echemi Global Food Industry Forum invited overseas industry experts and well-known scholars to share their insights about the top trends in their markets, including materials for Chinese raw material and ingredient enterprises.
In 2019, Fi Asia-China will move to the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) venue. The event will take place alongside Hi China 2019, and will also co-locate with HNC, Starch Expo and ProPack China to create an event for the whole food industry chain and promote industry integrated development.
