German industrial water technology provider EnviroChemie has acquired Processing AB, a Swedish provider of water treatment plants for the pool and spa sector, as well as water treatment solutions for commercial and industrial customers.
EnviroChemie is part of SKion’s water portfolio. It supplies advanced water and wastewater treatment plants and services for clients in the industrial and commercial sectors. It has established an excellent reputation for reliable and innovative technology in the water and wastewater treatment sector, by developing and implementing both standardised, modular and customised on-site treatment solutions for customers in a broad range of industrial and commercial markets.
Based in Kungsbacka, Sweden, Processing AB also supplies water purification technologies for public swimming pools in the Nordic region, as well as serves industrial customers, which is a business segment the company plans to extend further in collaboration with EnviroChemie.
Managing Director of EnviroChemie Dr Jörg Krause said: “The acquisition of Processing is an exciting development for both companies. EnviroChemie continues its successful growth path as a leading supplier for industrial water treatment solutions and services. Together with Processing, we will have access to a new geography and industry segment, especially due to Processing’s leading position in the pool and spa sector.
“In collaboration with EnviroChemie, Processing will also have the opportunity to further grow its industrial water and wastewater business while maintaining its strong position in the public swimming pool sector. We look forward to the entire Processing team joining EnviroChemie group.”
President and CEO of Processing AB Per Martin said: “We wanted a strong partner to support us in growing our industrial water treatment business in the Nordic region. Becoming part of EnviroChemie will allow us to do so much faster while maintaining our strong market position in the public swimming pool sector.
“EnviroChemie offers unrivalled expertise in industrial process and wastewater treatment solutions as well as the delivery of water treatment chemicals such as antiscalants and ion exchange resin regeneration services.”
Investment manager of SKion Dr Reinhard Hübner said: “We explicitly welcome the acquisition of Processing by EnviroChemie. Processing is well known and established in the Nordic countries. The combination of Processing and EnviroChemie significantly strengthens our position in the European water market.”
