Thermo Fisher Scientific, the world leader in serving science, has announced that the Thermo Scientific e scan in-line food analyzer dairy chambers are now 3A approved to standard 74-03 for cleaning-in-place (CIP) and sterilization-in-place (SIP) sanitary applications. This ensures the chambers can be cleaned to the highest standards.
The approval covers the 2in and 4in chambers of the e scan. It also certifies that the instrument’s seal areas and contact surfaces can withstand the most rigorous cleaning chemicals and temperatures. This includes aseptic sanitization using steam.
“We realize how vital instrument cleanliness is to a dairy processing operation – and all food processing operations,” said Rick Cash, product manager for online analytics at Thermo Fisher Scientific. “This approval demonstrates that we give customers the confidence that their in-line analysis equipment and manufacturing process will be clean, safe and reliable day after day.”
The e scan, an in-line analyzer featuring guided microwave spectrometer (GMS) technology, is uniquely designed to analyze and measure key properties of food products to reduce raw material and re-work costs, improve quality and increase brand value. The instrument is a significant step forward in food processing technology because it delivers consistent measurements and generates usable data that eliminates the need for multiple laboratory samples, saving both time and valuable resources. The e scan is ideal for more than just dairy; it can be used by processors of meat, dough, juices, confectionery treats and nut butters – virtually any product that is run through a pipe.
The e scan and all Thermo Scientific products are backed by the extensive worldwide Thermo Fisher Scientific service network. For more information about the Thermo Scientific e scan, please visit Thermo Scientific’s website.
