At Anuga Foodtec 2012, which will take place in Cologne from 27- 30 March, S+S Separation and Sorting Technology will be exhibiting magnet systems, metal detectors/separators, and X-ray scanners at our stand D010 in hall 5.2. Particular emphasis will be given to the completely new VARICON+ metal detection system featuring the C-Scan GHF detection coil, and the RAYCON product inspection system with high-resolution imaging and enhanced detection.
All of the new S+S systems on show have been developed further with enhanced hygienic design features. The VARICON+ metal detection system can be specified in two versions, either with the standard GLS detection coil, or with the new C-Scan GHF detection coil, offering three frequencies and enhanced detection capability as standard. The detection coil design guarantees the highest metal sensitivity throughout the whole inspection area.
The C-Scan GHF detection head features improved hygienic design with a sloped top and totally integrated electronics ensures no water or other traps. C-Scan GHF uses the GENIUS+ Control Unit with standard full colour touch-screen panel for intuitive and easy operation. Where data acquisition is required, the metal detector can be integrated in the customer’s PDA network using a variety of interface options; e.g., WS Food, Ethernet, USB, WLAN or Profibus.
The RAYCON X-ray product inspection system range has been enhanced by the addition of a new high-resolution version providing improved detection. RAYCON detects contaminants that due to their density, chemical composition, or mechanical dimensions absorb X-radiation to a higher degree than the surrounding product. Depending on the product, the system will now detect stainless-steel contaminants down to 0.3mm.
The S+S product range on show at Anuga is further complemented by an ATEX-certified version of the GF 4000 metal separator for pneumatic conveying applications and the LIQUISCAN VF+ metal separator for the inspection of paste and viscous products encountered in the meat and sausage. This version is designed for use after vacuum operated fillers.
Erwin Trauner, S+S manager for the food industry, sums up the S+S Anuga Foodtec 2012 trade fair presence: "As specialists in detection and separation technologies, S+S is exhibiting a complete product range for every process stages, product type, and conveying method, and for all critical control points of the production process, all from one source."
