In hall 13, stand A90 at this year’s Interpack exhibition, the Bavarian company S+S Separation and Sorting Technology will launch the new SOLUTOR-HF metal detector head with improved stainless-steel sensitivity, a high quality, sanitary design housing and virtually universal application in food and packaging lines.
The sealed, rectangular SOLUTOR-HF head detects all magnetic and non-magnetic metal contaminants (steel, stainless steel, aluminium, etc.) even when enclosed in the product. Excellent metal sensitivity is guaranteed throughout the complete inspection tunnel area. Compared with other brands, S+S has specifically improved the sensitivity to stainless steel in the SOLUTOR-HF, offering, as standard, three operating frequencies (low, medium, high) thus increasing its suitability for use in packaging and food industry applications.
S+S has designed the new head with a heavier and larger housing which provides additional stability and rigidity. The smooth, surface finish with integrated, sealed control unit meets the demanding requirements of the food industry for hygiene and cleaning.
Franz Penn, S+S food industry product manager, comments: “Our objective is to provide premium metal detectors of the highest quality. We do this by concentrating on in-house production with a specific emphasis on reliability and quality components. The new SOLUTOR-HF therefore is ‘Made in Germany’, predominantly ‘Made in Bavaria’.”
