At the Anuga Foodtec 2009, which will be held in Cologne from 10 to 13 March, S+S Separation and Sorting Technology will present magnet systems, inductive metal detectors and separators, and X-ray scanners to trade visitors in hall 5.1, at stand L039. The highlight of the trade fair will be the GLS tunnel metal detector in hygienic design with the GENIUS+ control unit.
S+S Separation and Sorting Technology is a global leader in the development and manufacturing of contaminant detection and separation systems, with well-founded competence in a wide technology spectrum and a product range that is almost unrivalled with respect to problem-solving competence and quality. As a specialist for detection and separation technologies S+S supplies a complete range of products for all process stages, product types and conveying types, as well as for all the critical control points of the production process for Magnet systems, X-ray scanners and inductive metal detectors and separators. S+S systems provide outstanding ease of operation, can be easily integrated in production lines and operate with great reliability. They comply with all the requirements (HACCP, IFS) for consistent traceability of all quality-relevant data. Date evaluation provides information about the sources of contaminations and forms the basis for the remedying thereof.
In the run-up to the Anuga Foodtec trade fair, S+S has further developed the design of the GLS tunnel metal detectors, which in the food industry are used for the inspection of bulk materials or of individually packed products on a conveyor belt, a material chute or a vibrating conveyor. All GLS metal detectors, whose closed design guarantees the highest metal sensitivity in the complete tunnel area, now feature a slanted top side. With respect to hygienic design, cleaning water can run off of this ‘roof’ without any obstacles. The GLS metal detector will be presented with the GENIUS+ control unit. One special feature of GENIUS+ is the intuitive and easy operation of the metal detector with the optional colour-touch panel. If necessary, this panel can be easily placed away from the search coil. For each of the components it is therefore possible to select the suitable location in the production environment.
