Mekitec Group, the manufacturer of innovative food X-ray quality control systems, released an updated version of their existing MEKI™ ONE X-ray inspection system in December 2020. The system elevates traditional critical control points (CCPs) into more comprehensive traceability points in the food production chain by providing valuable data from each production line. This data includes, for example, X-ray images and time stamps of each inspected food package, enabling food producers to have visual proof about the safety and quality of all of their outgoing products.
The upgraded MEKI™ ONE continues Mekitec’s commitment to providing the best value X-ray inspection systems to food producers around the world. Together with the compact, hygienic design, the system comes equipped with various sensors monitoring the functionalities of the system, such as rejection confirmation, while making sure that it exceeds all necessary safety regulations set for food X-ray inspection systems.
The upgraded system attracted a vast interest upon its release, which resulted in an increased number of investments by food producers in X-ray quality control and traceability. During the first months of launching the upgraded MEKI™ ONE, Mekitec has witnessed a growing number of companies investing in tens at a time to achieve factory-wide quality control and traceability coverage, instead of equipping single packaging lines each year.
The MEKI™ ONE system caters to multiple food industries, from snacks to dairy and all the way to frozen food, where the products are in primary packaging. This way, food producers implementing the technology will get the most benefits by detecting even smaller contaminants and quality defects within their products.
