Wilden, the worldwide leader in air-operated double-diaphragm pump technology and an operating company within Dover Corporation’s Pump Solutions Group (PSG™), has announced that its line of Advanced™ plastic pumps feature the design and operation that is ideal to help maximize output throughout food processing operations.
Available in sizes ranging from 6mm to 51mm (1/4in to 2in), the Advanced plastic pumps are perfect for food-processing operations due to their bolted configuration that ensures total product containment. The Advanced plastic pumps feature a redesigned liquid path that reduces internal friction, which results in maximized output and efficiency for several applications within food processing plants. Other benefits of this line of Wilden AODD pump are wetted and non-wetted housings constructed of polypropylene and PVDF or PTFE elastomers that have temperature limits to 104.4°C (220°F), flow rates range from 16.7lpm to 624lpm (4.4gpm to 164.9gpm) and maximum pressures to 8.6bar (125psig).
Advanced plastic pumps feature Wilden’s patented Pro-Flo® air distribution system (ADS). The Pro-Flo patented ADS incorporates three moving parts: the unbalanced air valve spool, the pilot spool, and the main shaft/diaphragm assembly. The Pro-Flo ADS provides food processors maximum efficiency during operation of the pumping system. The combination of the Advanced plastic pumps with Pro-Flo ADS results in increased pump performance, lower operational costs and downtime, and longer mean time between failures.
