Process equipment manufacturer The Witte Company, based in Washington, New Jersey, has introduced a free service that records tests conducted on its line of process equipment in live action, high-definition video. Posting the videos online, the new testing service permits immediate review by multiple personnel representing different departments located in facilities all over the world.
Ideal for accelerating the development of foods, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, plastics and a diverse array of other products while also ensuring the equipment operates as specified, the invaluable service promotes collaboration among process engineers, QA/QC managers, product managers, packaging engineers and others involved in product development, process engineering and/or quality assurance. The free service also includes documenting the test on DVD.
Performed on full-size, fully functional process equipment at the company’s vast, in-house, testing laboratory, the free testing service simulates actual operating conditions to eliminate the risks inherent in scaling up when relying on the results of tests conducted on pilot-sized equipment. Fluid bed dryers, fluid bed coolers, dewaterers, pellet classifiers, vibrating conveyors and screeners, and a slate of auxiliary equipment including dust collectors and static control devices are available on-site for testing as part of the free service.
