TMI has recently completed installation of a palletizing and stretch wrapping line at the Minoterie du Trièves flourmill in the town of Clelles, to the south-east of the French city of Grenoble.
The line is composed of a Robosac P4 Cartesian gantry palletizer with CNC positioning.
The palletizer is equipped with a central grip for bag and cardboard sheet handling, automatic pallet feeding and a cardboard sheet dispensing system for both the base of the pallet and between layers, with sheet magazine integrated into the palletizer’s own chassis.
Preliminary bag shaping is carried out by means of a bag press system combined with a vibrating belt, thus guaranteeing an optimal bag shape for subsequent palletizing.
The loaded pallets are then transported on rollers to an Ilergir automatic turntable stretch wrapper, with an independent column and fixed pre-stretching, which also permits the wrapping of pallets not coming from the palletizer.
With a production capacity of up to 400 bags per hour, the key to this project’s success was the equipment’s extreme compactness, which allowed the entire installation to occupy a total floorspace of only 18m².
