The OPTIMA MFL portioning system offers a series of functioning variants, which allow optimisation of the dosing results for powdery and chunky products under certain conditions.
The first variant of the portioning system is a two-phase dosing by the auger filler SD-V. In the first phase, the checkweighers (CS-V) determine how much product will have to be added in the second dosing phase (auger filler SD-N). Then, the downstream gross weighers (CS-B) check the total weight, following the programmed second-phase filling. A mean value control optimises the pre-filling and post-filling. This system offers optimum precision with very good output.
The second variant combines the volume dosers (VD) with the gross weigher CS-B. This option is best suited to chunky products. The mean value regulation concerns the dosing volumes.
The third variant integrates auger filling with volume filling. In this version, a product and/or a product mix is combined and dosed together with a second, usually very sensitive product. Examples for this application are mushroom sauce or salad dressings with onion pieces. First-phase of the product dosing is made by the auger filler (SD-V). Subsequently, product B is added by the volume dosers (VD) before the first-phase checkweighers (CS-V) determine the preliminary weight for the programmed following product addition. The auger fillers (SD-N) subsequently add product A. Gross weight checkweighers (CS-B) determine the total weight. The mean value control is applied to the results of the auger filler or optionally of the volume dosers.
