Ishida Europe has appointed Mike Heffernan as director of sales of core products to lead the company in the next stage of its growth programme. Mr Heffernan will be responsible for sales of Ishida’s extensive range of weighing and associated equipment, including its world leading multihead weighers, checkweighers, X-ray systems and snack food bagmakers throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Mike Heffernan has over 25 years’ experience of the weighing and packing machinery industry. He spent six years as a sales manager with Ishida Europe, joining the business in 1986, before moving to Yamato to establish the company’s UK operation, eventually being appointed as managing director.
Mike returns to Ishida at an exciting time in the company’s continuing development. Ishida is keen to further enhance its market leadership, in particular building on the company’s impressive record in product development and extensive applications experience to offer a tailored sales and support service to every type of business, from smaller local businesses to multi-national, multi-site organisations. Mr Heffernan will lead the sales team in supporting existing markets and developing new sectors as part of Ishida’s objective of achieving 30% growth over the next three years.
