Whether it is being used as the most widespread energy source for the operation of systems or for cleaning, superheated steam is employed for a wide range of purposes in commerce and industry. Hoses are indispensible in creating flexible connections for safely transporting superheated steam. And just look at what they have to deal with: high pressure and high temperatures. With the DAMPF TRIX® 6000 and the DAMPF TRIX® 5000, ContiTech is setting the benchmark for the market.
DAMPF TRIX hoses are DIN EN ISO 6134-certified and feature state-of-the-art technology. They score top marks with outstanding product characteristics such as extraordinary flexibility, electrical conductivity and high temperature resistance as well as resistance to weathering, ozone and UV. But that’s not all. In a prolonged pressure test, results showed the DAMPF TRIX 6000 to be clearly superior to comparable hose types. Its high-quality EPDM, extremely heat-resistant inner and outer layers allow the hose to transport pure, saturated water steam of up to plus 210°C at 18 bar, and up to plus 220°C at 23 bar for short periods of time. The hose’s long service life is guaranteed by its very well-balanced design.
Just like the DAMPF TRIX 6000, the second of ContiTech’s steam hoses, the DAMPF TRIX 5000, also offers maximum safety when conveying saturated steam. The pressure bearer made from special ultra-strong textile fibres gives the DAMPF TRIX 5000 a much higher prolonged temperature resistance than conventional textile materials.
