Like the proverbial letter carrier, nothing can keep a milk collection truck inside – neither scorching heat, ice nor snow. Being forced to work under the most grueling conditions day in, day out is hard on people and machines.
That is why many dairies, tank lorry makers and operators have opted for the COLLECTOR® from ContiTech. For a good reason. Ultra-flexible and low-weight, the milk collection hose is ideally suited for the demanding work and the tight storage space on milk collection vehicles, and it remains completely maneuverable at all times, even in the face of extreme temperature fluctuations and unfavourable weather conditions. The outer layer is extremely wear-resistant and is also resistant to UV radiation and ozone. The steel-wire helix integrated into the textile reinforcements allows for good suction performance and, if necessary, an operating pressure of 6 bar. However, if a particularly low-weight and extreme flexibility are required, then the new COLLECTOR FLEX with integrated plastic helix is an ideal alternative. This dimensionally-stable hose can even take being run over.
Meets the recommendation XXI of the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) and the FDA directives
The COLLECTOR hoses also fulfil the food hygiene requirements for milk collection hoses surely and reliably. For instance, the inner lining of the hoses conform to the recommendation XXI of the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) as well as directives of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the US. This means that the white non-porous inner lining is absolutely odourless and has no effect on the taste of the milk. Compliance with the BfR and FDA is therefore just as part of the marking of these brand hoses as the two, spirally applied red stripes, interrupted by the word “COLLECTOR” or “COLLECTOR FLEX”, on the blue outer layer.
Easy to clean and sterilise
The hose is unaffected by many of the most commonly used cleansing agents and can be sterilised with steam, even at short, peak temperatures of up to 130°C. You can obtain information about the specific cleansing and disinfecting agents as well as maximum permissible concentrations and application temperatures from ContiTech.
