Deals this week: Generation Growth Capital, Sunrise Strategic Partners, B&G Foods

Generation Growth Capital, a private equity firm based in the US, has invested in Select Food Products through a fund it manages, named Generation Growth Capital Fund III, LP.

Select Food Products, which makes sandwich, breakfast, snack and dessert products, intends to utilise the funds in order to recapitalise the company and support its merger with Tino's Italian Specialty Foods.

Sunrise Strategic Partners has made a minority investment in organic dairy company, Maple Hill Creamery, which aims to expand its operations through the investment.

The creamery produces 100% grass-fed dairy products.

B&G Foods, a shelf-stable and frozen foods maker based in the US, has acquired the spices and seasonings business of ACH Food Companies in an asset purchase transaction that is expected to yield approximately $83m in tax benefits to the acquirer company.

ACH's spice manufacturing facility in Ankeny, Iowa, has also been acquired as part of the transaction.
