US firm BakeMark acquires Best Brands from CSM Bakery Solutions

US-based bakery products manufacturer and distributor BakeMark has acquired Best Brands from CSM Bakery Solutions.

The deal comes a month after CSM Bakery Solutions reached an agreement with Pamplona Capital Management to sell its BakeMark business.

Financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.

As per the deal, the acquisition includes the brand and product portfolio of Best Brands.

BakeMark president and CEO Jim Parker said: "The Best Brands line offers a rich history of great-performing products across multiple categories that meet the needs of today's bakers.

“We are excited to integrate another industry-leading brand into BakeMark's portfolio of brands, and even more excited at the growth opportunities it will deliver to our customers.”

Parker further explained that the acquisition is in line with the company’s ongoing value creation efforts and build its brands and markets in the future.

Upon completion of the acquisition, Best Brands join BakeMark's portfolio of brands that include Westco, BakeSense, BakeQwik, Trigal Dorado, C'est Vivant and Sprinkelina. 

BakeMark offers a diversified line of products and ingredients to the food industry through a network of 25 distribution centres and three manufacturing facilities across the US and Canada.

The Best Brands offers a wide range of product portfolio which includes bakery mixes, fillings, and icings, as well as frozen bakery products.
