RAPTOR® stands for RAPid Transformation of Organic Residues. The system is a total solution, from the logistics for the organic waste intake and handling and ending with the production of green energy. Installation is fully customisable, and its design is always adapted to the specific needs, imposed by three major application sectors:
- industrial
- agricultural
- and municipal.
The RAPTOR® plants have a reception facility, including liquid storage tanks and solid organic waste bunkers or silos. Depending on the types of feedstock liquid slurries, wet solid residues, peels and other solid organic wastes, pre-processing systems are set in place for optimum pre-treatment before the biogas generating anaerobic digestion.
Custom pre-treatment for maximum system efficiency
Chosen from an entire range of solutions pre-treatment is tailored based on the composition of the raw organic waste. Possible technologies can include: enzymatic, chemical, thermal, biological and mechanical treatment steps.
RAPTOR® Unleashing the Power of Organic Waste
Wasted fruits, vegetables, purees, peels, scrap, and slurries for decades have been considered a burden for the food and beverage production facilities. The undiscovered by so many green energy potential of organic waste is fully utilised in GWE’s RAPTOR® system.
The application of the RAPTOR® System has brought enormous economic and environmental benefits to business owners and communities. It is a solution to two key challenges of the modern industry: waste generation and fossil fuel dependency.
Food waste and source-separated organics
Food waste is generated at food production facilities, as well as at distribution centres, grocery stores, restaurants, and in our homes. This organic material is often disposed of in a landfill or used as animal feed, rather than separated and beneficially transformed into a renewable energy feedstock.
Diversion of organic wastes from landfills helps to prolong the life of such disposal sites. RAPTOR® can provide a more significant reduction in greenhouse gas generation than a landfill or composting operation, many of which have no control of methane and CO2 emissions.
On top of that the green energy can be sold to the grid and power improving the overall sustainability of the region.
