M&As this week: Stelling Technologies Private Limited, Uber Eats, Takeaway.com

Owner and operator of RailYatri app, Stelling Technologies Private Limited, has acquired food delivery services provider 11th Hour Innovations Pvt Ltd (YatraChef).

Following the transaction, YatraChef will manage RailYatri’s pan-India in-transit delivery services.

The acquisition will strengthen RailYatri’s supply-side commerce capabilities.

All the companies involved in the acquisition are based in India.

Online meal ordering and delivery platform Uber Eats has announced the acquisition of food delivery start-up Ando Food from David Chang.

The acquisition will enable Uber Eats to expand its operations.

Both the acquirer and target companies are based in the US.

Dutch online food delivery services provider Takeaway.com intends to merge with German online food delivery services provider Delivery Hero.

Takeaway.com has a market value of €2bn ($2.39m), while Delivery Hero has a market value of €6.1bn ($7.47bn).

Spanish food company Ebro Foods (Ebro) has agreed to acquire 70% interest in the Italian pasta manufacturing company Bertagni 1882 (Bertagni) for €130m ($159m).

The acquisition will support Ebro’s global expansion plans.
