Integrated Food Projects agrees to acquire Structural Design Associates in UK

Integrated Food Projects, a UK-based provider of independent advice services to the food and drink businesses, has signed a deal to purchase engineering consultancy Structural Design Associates.

The company anticipates that the acquisition would bolster its business by 40% this year and also enable them to offer a complete service to food manufacturers.

Integrated Food Projects CEO Philip Chatfield said: “We’ve worked with Structural Design Associates to deliver projects in the past, so we know their level of expertise and standard of work is high.

“This is part of our strategy to enable IFP to become self-sufficient in delivering complete facility design.

“Our plan is to both grow capacity in the services SDA already offer, while also broadening their scope by expanding their civil engineering design capability over the next twelve months.”

Established in 2002 in Derbyshire, Integrated Food Projects manages investment strategies and delivers services to the manufacturers, including evaluation, design, implementation, and transition.

The company is reported to have worked with a wide range of clients, including Tesco, Cargill, Samworth Brothers, and Kerry Foods.
