SPX Acquire Gerstenberg Schroder

SPX has completed its purchase of food processor manufacturer Gerstenberg Schroder, which will now operate its flow technology segment.

Gerstenburg Schroder, which is best known for supplying processing lines for margarine, butter and spread manufacturers, posted revenues of $70m last year.

The equipment can be found in 120 countries worldwide and includes emulsifying products for mayonnaise and dressings.

SPX said it hopes the acquisition will increase its competitiveness in the turnkey, scalable food and processing systems market.
