Glanbia in Talks to Sell Dairy Business

Glanbia is in talks with its major shareholder – Glanbia Cooperative Society – to sell its Irish dairy business, which represents nearly 50% of the food group’s revenue stream.

The cooperative, which holds 54.6% of Glanbia, is likely to fund the takeover through the sale of a percentage of its shareholding in the company.

It is expected that an agreement may be reached in the next four to six weeks, with a deal closed by the end of the second quarter.

The food group’s Irish operations include dairy ingredients, consumer products, agribusiness, property businesses and related joint ventures.
